C18 is for people an Indonesian employer is already waiting for: it allows legal entry while the company is still processing the foreign-worker permits. The candidate meets the team, completes the final hiring steps and starts work as soon as the work status is granted.

The key difference from tourist and business visas is the correct purpose of entry: arriving “for a job” on a visit visa risks trouble at the border and in later paperwork. C18 closes that risk.
