KITAP — Permanent Residence
KITAP is permanent residence — the top rung of Indonesia’s immigration ladder. The card is issued for 5 years and renews automatically: annual extensions, document runs and immigration-office visits become history.
There is no direct route to a KITAP — it comes after years of continuous KITAS. Fastest for spouses of Indonesian citizens (typically after 2 years of registered marriage); holders of work, investor and retirement KITAS qualify after several years of continuous status.
