Overstay fine calculator

An overstay in Bali costs IDR 1,000,000 for every day, per person. Enter the days and the number of people — the calculator works out the total and shows what changes past the 60-day threshold.

How the fine is calculated

There is one rate and it does not depend on your visa type or the reason for the delay: IDR 1,000,000 for every day past your permit, per person. Children count the same as adults, so a family of four multiplies the total by four.

Calendar days count, not working days. The clock starts the day after your stay permit expires.

The 60-day threshold

Up to 60 days overdue — it is settled with a fine, paid on departure
Beyond 60 days — it stops being a financial question: immigration measures apply, up to deportation and a re-entry ban

How to avoid an overstay

An extension is filed no later than the day your current permit ends, and no earlier than 14 days before
If payment clears before expiry, no overstay accrues — even if the office visit comes later
Processing takes up to 3 working days after payment, so file with time to spare
The new period starts the day after the old one — no days are lost
