Do I qualify as a freelancer?
The core E33G scenario is a contract with a foreign company. Freelance cases are assessed individually — much depends on income structure and paperwork. Message us and we’ll give you an honest read.
Can I take projects from Indonesian clients?
No — income from Indonesian sources is prohibited under this status. Foreign employers and clients only.
What about my family?
Dependent KITAS for your spouse and children attach to yours — they live with you legally and the kids attend school.
Why E33G over a C1 tourist visa?
It is resident status: no exits every six months, with a bank account, a licence and in-country renewal. Crucially, remote work from Indonesia is legal on it — on a tourist visa it sits in a grey zone.
