Multiple-entry extension D1 and D2
Updated: 28 August 2026 · Verified by the Malina Visa team
Multiple-entry visas follow their own logic: what gets extended is the stay inside a given entry, not the visa. The visa runs for one or two years, entries are unlimited, and every arrival starts a fresh 60 days.
Within one visit the stay can be extended twice by 60 days — up to 180 days per arrival. Our all-in price is IDR 2,600,000 when filed ahead and IDR 3,100,000 on short notice.
How the clock runs inside one entry
| Stage | Days | Total per visit | All-in price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arrival: initial permit | 60 | 60 | included in the visa |
| First extension | +60 | 120 | 2,600,000 · 3,100,000 rush |
| Second extension | +60 | 180 | 2,600,000 · 3,100,000 rush |
| Leave and re-enter | 60 | the count restarts | free, the visa stays valid |
The official fee per 60-day extension is IDR 2,000,000 and is already inside our price. Departure does not cancel the visa — the key difference from single-entry C1 and C2.
Biometrics are mandatory
Since June 2025 every extension requires you in person: a photograph, fingerprints and a short interview. No agency can do this part for you.
Everything else — documents, filing, fees, tracking — is ours. Offices in Bali: Denpasar, Ngurah Rai (Jimbaran) and Singaraja.
What we need from you
- A photo of the full passport spread
- A personal photo
- Your ITK or entry sticker — or the entry date, if you used the autogates
- Marital status
- Email and a WhatsApp or Telegram contact
Gili, Lombok, Nusa Penida: no need to fly to Bali
Extensions are filed online, so where you are staying does not affect the application. We handle clients on Gili, Lombok and Nusa Penida, and in Jakarta and Surabaya, exactly as on Bali.
The only part tied to a location is biometrics: you attend the office covering your area. Nusa Penida has no office of its own, so people travel to Denpasar. Tell us where you are and we will book the nearest slot.
How the extension works
We look at the visa type, expiry date and extensions used, and say straight away if extending is not possible.
We assemble the package, submit the application, pay the fees and follow it to a decision.
We tell you the office, date and time. About half an hour.
It arrives as a notification. We set a reminder for the next deadline.
Frequently asked questions
How does a multiple-entry D1 or D2 extension work?
You extend the stay inside a specific entry, not the visa itself. Each visit gives 60 days plus two 60-day extensions — up to 180 days per arrival. The visa itself stays valid for one or two years.
How much does a D1 or D2 extension cost?
IDR 2,600,000 when filed 6 or more working days before expiry, and IDR 3,100,000 on shorter notice. All-in prices; the official IDR 2,000,000 fee per 60 days is already inside.
Does leaving the country cancel the visa?
No, and that is its main advantage. D1 and D2 are multiple-entry: you return on the same visa and get a fresh 60 days from the date of arrival.
Is it cheaper to extend or to fly out?
It depends on the fare. An extension costs IDR 2,600,000 for 60 days, so if tickets are cheaper than that, leaving may win. An extension saves two travel days and needs no new booking.
Do I need a sponsor to extend a D1 or D2?
Yes, and we provide the sponsorship. You do not need to find an Indonesian company yourself, even if another agency issued the visa.
Can I work on a D1 or D2?
No. Both are visit visas and do not grant the right to work or earn income in Indonesia.
