Bali visa finder: four questions
Answer four questions and the finder shows which visa suits your trip, what it costs and what its limits are. Based on the terms and fees in force, verified on 25 August 2026.
How it works
The finder is built on the rules as they stand: permitted stay for each visa index, how many extensions each allows, and the limits tied to your purpose. It does not replace a consultation — but in half a minute it shows which direction to look in and what it costs.
The thing to remember: you choose before you fly. You cannot move from an e-VOA to a C1 once you are in the country, and from visa-free entry you cannot move to anything at all.
What the recommendations rest on
- e-VOA — 30 days plus one 30-day extension. A 60-day ceiling, with no second extension
- C1 — 60 days plus two 60-day extensions. A ceiling of 180 consecutive days
- D1 and D2 — a 1–2 year visa; each entry gives 60 days, extendable to 180 per visit
- Visa-free — exactly 30 days, no extension and no switch to a KITAS
- KITAS — a year or more, chosen by where your income comes from: E33G, work, investor or family
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the finder?
It works from the official terms and limits for each visa type, but it does not know the specifics of your case: calling-visa nationalities, your travel history, your family situation. Treat the result as a starting point, not a final decision.
Can I change visa once I am in Bali?
From a visit permit — an e-VOA or C1 — a change of status to a KITAS is provided for. You cannot move from an e-VOA to a C1 inside the country. From visa-free entry you can neither extend nor change status.
What if my trip runs longer than planned?
On an e-VOA the ceiling is 60 days and then you must leave. On a C1 it is 180. Building in headroom is cheaper than changing plans later: an overstay costs IDR 1,000,000 per day, per person.
Do I need a sponsor?
The C1, C2, D1 and D2 all require one. For our clients we act as the sponsor, so there is no one for you to find.
