Retirement KITAS
The Retirement KITAS is a residence permit for foreigners aged 55 and over who want to live in Indonesia properly: winter without visa runs, rent a home long-term, open a bank account and feel like a resident rather than a tourist.
The status is issued for a year and renewed inside the country. Over time, continuous retirement status opens the path to a KITAP — permanent residence.

Frequently asked questions
Can I do a little work on a Retirement KITAS?
No — the status grants no right to work or earn in Indonesia. It is about living, not employment.
My spouse is 52 — what then?
If the main applicant meets the age requirement, the spouse receives a dependent status regardless of age. We’ll sort the details in a consultation.
How painful are the annual renewals?
Routine we take off your hands: we remind you in advance, gather the papers and run the process without you standing in queues.
When can I apply for a KITAP?
After several years of continuous retirement status — permanent residence removes the annual renewals. We’ll get you there.
