Autogate and All Indonesia: the border in 20 seconds
The autogate opens on two conditions: a chipped passport and an approved electronic visa. Clearance takes 15–25 seconds and no stamp is placed in your passport. Before departure every traveller completes the free All Indonesia card, available from 72 hours before arrival. Children go through themselves from age six. Two conditions for the autogate
The automated gates on arrival in Denpasar and Jakarta do not open for everyone. There are exactly two conditions, and both depend on what you do before you fly.

- ✓An approved electronic visa — an e-VOA or other e-visa linked to that passport

Children and the classic mistake
Children have their own threshold, and it is where families most often come unstuck.

- ✓With a child under 6, one parent goes through a staffed counter

What is paid separately
The autogate and the arrival card are immigration matters. Bali's tourist levy is unrelated and paid separately.
