Indonesia C6 visa: the social visit route
The C6 is a single-entry visit visa for social activity: it covers social projects, travel and visiting family. It gives 60 days, extendable to 180 in total. The government fee is IDR 2,000,000. What the C6 is
The C6 is a single-entry visit visa for social activity. The official wording sounds narrow, but it covers more than it seems: on a C6 you may carry out social activity in Indonesia, and also travel and visit friends and family.

What it costs
The government fee for a C6 comes in two parts and totals IDR 2,000,000:

Extensions are paid separately at the stay-permit rate. Processing takes five working days from receipt of payment.
Documents and the sponsor
The key difference from tourist visas: the application is filed not by you but by your sponsor, from their account on the immigration portal. Without a sponsor there is no C6.

C6 or C1: which to take
On timing they are near twins — 60 days extendable to 180. They differ in basis, paperwork and price.

The practical read: if you have a host organisation or relatives willing to sponsor you, the C6 works. If you are travelling as an ordinary tourist, the C1 is simpler and more predictable — fewer documents and no dependence on a third party's letter.
What you cannot do on a C6
The restriction is written into the rules and follows the logic of every visit visa:
- !Selling goods or services in Indonesia
- !Receiving payment, wages or any other remuneration for work from people or companies in Indonesia
