Bali e-VOA 2026: your visa before you fly
The e-VOA is an electronic visa on arrival arranged online before departure. It gives 30 days with one 30-day extension — 60 days maximum per entry. The government fee is currently IDR 500,000; our all-in price is IDR 900,000. Its main advantage over a visa bought at the airport: no payment queue, and the autogate works.

What the e-VOA is and who it suits
The e-VOA is a visa on arrival arranged in advance through the government portal. On paper it is the same B-series visa issued at the airport, but it reaches you by email before departure, and at the border you show nothing but your passport.

e-VOA versus a visa at the airport
The status is formally identical. The difference is what happens after the plane lands.
- ✓No payment queue. The visa is already tied to your passport; you go straight to passport control
- ✓The autogate works. With a biometric passport, clearance takes 15–25 seconds
- ✓Extending is simpler. Visa, passport and entry record are linked electronically from the start
- ✓Refusals surface early. A document problem shows up at home, not at the border after a 12-hour flight
Timing: 30 plus 30, and not a day more
The e-VOA gives you 30 calendar days from the date of entry. It can be extended exactly once, by exactly 30 days — 60 days maximum per entry. There is no second extension.
The extension fee is IDR 500,000. You may file no earlier than 14 days before your current permit ends and no later than the day it ends. Processing takes up to 3 working days after payment, and the new period starts the day after the old one, so no days are lost.

What you need to apply
The list is short, which is part of why this visa is so popular:

The autogate: crossing the border in 20 seconds
The automated gates on arrival in Denpasar and Jakarta work with a biometric passport and an approved electronic visa. The system reads the chip and matches your face — immigration reports clearance in 15–25 seconds.

What if 60 days is not enough
Two routes, and you choose before you fly — changing your mind inside the country is harder and costs more.

One important difference between the e-VOA and visa-free entry: from an e-VOA you can change status to a limited stay permit. With visa-free entry that is not possible at all — worth knowing for citizens of Kazakhstan and Belarus, who since July 2026 need no visa for tourism.

How many times can an e-VOA be extended?
Once, by 30 days. The maximum per entry is 60 days. The extension fee is IDR 500,000, filed no earlier than 14 days before expiry and no later than the day it expires.
How much does an e-VOA cost?
The government fee is currently IDR 500,000. Our all-in price is IDR 900,000, which covers document checking, filing, payment and the finished visa in your inbox. Immigration has announced plans to raise the fee to IDR 750,000 for online applications; no date has been set.
Can I work on an e-VOA?
No. The visa covers tourism, visiting family and business meetings, but not work — neither employment nor freelancing. For remote work with foreign clients there is the E33G; for employment in Indonesia, a work KITAS.
Can I convert an e-VOA into a KITAS without leaving?
Yes, changing status from a visit permit to a limited stay permit is provided for. That sets the e-VOA apart from visa-free entry, where a change of status is prohibited outright. The procedure is not quick, so plan ahead.
